The ACT Product Engineer is a role operating within the technology and commercial groups, with responsibility for creating subsea production equipment upgrade options that support customer’s unique requirements. This entrepreneurial and innovative role requires an individual to consider customer particular issues in the field and create new subsea production solutions addressing these issues. The role is critical to Proserv’s organic growth in the subsea sector.

Reporting to Ewen, VP Commercial and with close interfaces within the technology and engineering teams you will take ownership of developing new ACT designed and costed solutions to propose to customers with the primary goal of growing Proserv’s ACT presence globally. The role will involve driving all ACT projects from concept to project award.

 

Some of the Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following)

  • Propose hardware solutions for ACT opportunities based on existing Proserv hardware and software product development and customer requirements.
  • Evaluate feasibility, using known ACT solutions and technology, and make bid/no bid recommendations for all ACT opportunities.
  • Work with customers and colleagues, including Technical Authorities, to deliver technical and commercial opportunities supporting Proserv’s offerings within the ACT market.
  • Produce and maintain a register of all developed and delivered ACT solutions and technology toolbox status, for use in opportunities and marketing.
  • Produce and maintain a competitor capability analysis for all ACT related opportunities.
  • Produce designs that conform to the latest required specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with Proserv leadership and the sales teams, from opportunity identification to development of proposal.
  • For all ACT sales enquiries, develop the appropriate ACT solution into a qualified proposal ensuring customer presentation in a timely manner.
  • Engage with the subsea sector to evaluate Voice of the Customer information for input into ACT strategy and its overall market proposition.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences and exhibitions to promote Proserv ACT, associated services and capabilities.
  • Provide knowledgeable advice and guidance to ACT clients to ensure the highest quality, performance and safety of a supplied solution.

 

Education & Qualifications

Education

Required

  • Engineering qualification in either, mechanical, electrical, electronics, software, or subsea controls subject areas.
  • Equivalent experience within subsea controls will be considered in lieu of education.

Preferred

  • Engineering bachelor’s degree in either, mechanical, electrical, electronics, software or subsea controls related subject areas.

Experience

Required

  • Working knowledge of subsea control systems.
  • Working knowledge of API and ISO standards.
  • Ability to proactively learn and adapt to requirements and situations.
  • Ability to work within time-cost constraints.
  • Good interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Working knowledge of 3rd party’s subsea control systems.
  • Multidiscipline understanding for design and engineering of subsea control systems.
  • Ability to create a value-based production upgrade solution that meets customers’ requirements.

Other

Essential

  • Proven track record within subsea control systems engineering.

This position may, on occasions, involve worldwide travel to attend Customer meetings/presentations; therefore you must hold a valid driving license and valid passport.
